TAZATELKA: Personalized Conversations Conducted by Generative AI – Opportunities, Limitations and Applications
Provider: Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA ČR)
Programme: SIGMA Programme for the Support of Applied Research and Innovation
Call: 10. VS – DC3 (SHUV)
Implementation Period: 09/2025–08/2028
PID: TQ23000410
Project Objectives and Description:
The aim is to develop an application featuring advanced dialogue management and nuanced response interpretation powered by generative AI. The tool will be capable of conducting targeted (semi-)structured interviews in real-time, dynamically adapting questions based on the respondent’s answers. It is designed primarily for research institutions to streamline qualitative data collection in social sciences, and for schools to facilitate formative and reflective dialogues in instruction.
Development will follow an iterative process, involving pilot deployments in schools and the collection of feedback from researchers to refine functionality. The project integrates research into user needs and barriers, the design of an ethical framework, and the development of a prototype featuring key modules. This includes field validation and the creation of practical methodologies for the safe and transparent use of the tool in real-world settings.
Tazatelka enables researchers to conduct standardised interviews more cost-effectively and at a larger scale, while offering organisations an efficient method for collecting qualitative data on needs, attitudes, and satisfaction. In schools, it can assist with formative and reflective dialogues, feedback mechanisms, and career guidance. The implementation draws on Scio’s extensive experience in technology integration and its network of schools and partners for testing, ensuring the development of a truly practical tool.
