Call: Social Sciences and Humanities: Man and Humanity in Current Global Challenges
Registration Number: CZ.02.01.01/00/23_025/0008693
Implementation Period: 2025–2028
Project Description and Objectives:
The primary objective of the project is to provide new insights into the impact of new technologies on the labour market and education, as well as their role in current challenges regarding the management and evaluation of science. This is achieved through top-tier, internationally anchored social science research with application potential.
The project is implemented within a consortium of research institutions and organisations, with Scio Research as a partner. Scio Research aims to develop an AI tool designed to foster curiosity and creativity in children, suitable for use in both school and home environments. The tool is intended to be engaging for children while simultaneously developing key skills. We plan to pilot the tool in schools as part of a large-scale intervention (involving hundreds of schools), including a control group of 8th-grade pupils from primary schools and multi-year grammar schools. The objective is to foster curiosity and creativity not only in the short term but also sustainably over the long term. The project also encompasses the development of new assessment instruments for curiosity and creativity, utilizing both self-report questionnaires and behavioural measures. Furthermore, a methodology for schools will be created, outlining guidelines for working with the AI tool and strategies for building a safe environment that nurtures curiosity and creativity.
